Alice Jane Haines, 82, of Westminster, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born Sept. 16, 1929, in Pleasant Valley, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Logue and Harriet Myers Logue Hull. She was the wife of Edward Thomas Haines, her husband of 62 years.

She worked at Bowman's Hatchery and Weis Markets in Westminster for many years in the produce department. She sang with the Haines Family Singers at various churches in Carroll County and in surrounding states. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Door in Westminster, and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter Connie Reid and husband Scherl, of Westminster; sons Ronald Haines and wife Diana, of Westminster, and Donald Haines and wife Amy, of Chesterton, Ind.; grandchildren Sharla and Joel Miller, Brandon Haines and companion Scottanna Jeffreys, Shannon Patten and husband Steve, Adam, Anthony, Andrew, Christopher and Sarah Haines; a brother, Theodore Logue, of Taneytown; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sisters Elizabeth Hoke and Helen Shaffer; and a brother, Thomas Logue.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. John Campbell and Terry Hoke, her nephew, co-officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pleasant Valley.
