Allard "Al" Maggard, 57, of Taneytown, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at his home.

Born Feb. 14, 1956, in Dunham, Ky., he was the son of the late Burton and Lula May Young Maggard. He was the husband of the late Patricia Robertson Maggard.

He was a long time warehouse worker for Gardiners Furniture in Westminster. He enjoyed yard sales and flea markets.

Surviving, are daughter Melissa A. Maggard, of Taneytown; sons Jason A. Maggard, of Westminster, and Jess A. Maggard and wife Kathy, of New Oxford, Pa.; grandchildren Ashley N. Maggard of Derwood, Alexandra P. Metts of Hanover, Pa., and Christopher A. Maggard, of New Oxford, Pa.; great-granddaughter Amy E. Metts, of Hanover, Pa.; brother, Glines "Dennis" Maggard, of Keymar; sister Virginia Maggard Stultz, of East Berlin, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Wednesday until the time of a Celebration of His Life Memorial Service at 8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.
