Alma C. Stevens, 94, of Catonsville, died Monday December 8, 2014 at the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster. Born June 16, 1920 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Kubinek Conklin. She was the wife of the late Harry Leonard Stevens, who died in 2009. She had been a cosmetologist and owned her own business in Catonsville. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting. Surviving are son, Edward L. Stevens, Sr. of Hanover, Pa.; daughters, Elaine L. Kirkpatrick of Gettysburg, Pa. and Peggy L. Stevens of Ellicott City; sisters, Catherine Henderson of Fallston, Marjorie Papesh of Illinois, June Chewning of Hagerstown and Margaret Smith of Perryman, MD; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a devoted friend, Viola Hughes. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ida A. Harrill. Friends may call on Saturday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. William Louis Piel officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be sent to the , 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
