Alora Lorraine (Porter) McGee, 81 of Hanover, PA, formerly of Westminster, MD, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of Paul D. McGee, Sr. who passed on June 11, 2005. Born September 11, 1935 in Westminster, MD she was the daughter of the late Noah W. and Mabel (Haines) Porter. Alora was a member of Manchester Baptist Church, Manchester, MD. She was employed with the Carroll Co. Times newspaper company for 21 years, retiring in 1997. Alora enjoyed fishing and doing crafts. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. McGee is survived by her five children; Paul D. McGee, Jr. of Hanover, PA, Ronald E. McGee of Westminster, MD, Cheryl D. Grayson of Ringgold, GA, Wayne A. McGee of Hanover, PA and Paula D. Smith of Hanover, PA; her siblings, Kenneth C. Porter of Richmond, VA and Catherine Ostrum of Union Bridge, MD; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Noah W. Porter, Jr. A service to celebrate the life of Alora McGee will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at the Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Rd, Manchester, MD, with Pastor David Scafide officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
