Ambrose Oliver "Andy" Miller, 92, of Hampstead, formerly of Woodlawn, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Hampstead.

Born Aug. 26, 1921, in Annapolis, he was the son of the late Sebastian and Olive Tudor Miller. He was the husband of Ruth Snead Miller, who died in March 2013.

After attending Poly High School in Baltimore, he joined the Army and served in the Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II in Europe.

He was a member for more than 60 years of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local Union 101.

Surviving are daughters Phyllis McGinnis, of Hampstead, and Leslie Logsdon and husband Joseph, of Timonium; grandchildren Dr. Michael McGinnis and wife Maryann, of Northfield, Vt., Stephen McGinnis and wife Jodi, of Scotrun, Pa., and Heather Stanford and husband Jasper, of Timonium; and great-grandchildren Zachary, Stephen, Erin, and Isabella.

Private services and entombment will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville.

Arrangements are by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
