Ann Fletcher Norvell, 77, of Westminster, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at University of Maryland Medical Center. Born on March 3, 1939 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter and only child of the late Wilbur Cecil and Helen Elizabeth Day Weller. She was the former wife of the late James Dale Norvell. Ann started her career as a school teacher at Mt. Airy Elementary School and spent most of her years at Sykesville Middle School before retiring in 2002. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and did Eucharistic Adoration every Saturday. Ann enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, attending musicals, going to Ocean City, and most of all, spending time with her family. Surviving her are children and spouses William and Catherine Norvell of Westminster, James and Cheryl Norvell of Alexandria, VA, and Susan and John Ratzel of Westminster; grandchildren Sara, Michael, Matthew, Jamie, Julianna, and Joseph; great grandchildren Seth, Jacob, Ivy, Vera, and Tyler; and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Wake Service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Inurnment will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the , 8219 Town Center Dr., Baltimore, MD 21236.
