Ann S. Garman, 92 of Westminster, MD. passed peacefully Tuesday May 30, 2017 at the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster. Born Dec. 5, 1924 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence S. and Isabel Jacquette Stevens. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Garman who died in 2009. Ann graduated from Western Maryland College in 1946 and worked for a printing and publishing company for four years, then taught elementary school for three years before becoming a full-time mother for fifteen years. She returned to teaching and retired after twenty-two years. She was a member of the Reisterstown United Methodist Church, the Women's Club of Glyndon and the Franklin Garden Club and has done a wide variety of job's in each organization. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, gardening and concerts, but her greatest pleasure was her family. She is survived by her children; Priscilla Garman Ellrich and husband Reed of Sykesville, Charles Garman and wife Kriste of Towson, Gary Garman and wife Janet of Crownsville and Robert Garman and wife Heidi of Glenwood, grandchildren; Bryan, Kelly, Michael, Christopher, Michelle, Nicholas, T.J., Daniel and Kathleen. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9pm. on Thursday June 1, 2017 at the family owned ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, MD. 21117 where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30am. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Upperco, MD. If desired, donations may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD. 21157.
