Anna Elizabeth Schultz, 101, of Hanover, Pa., died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover.

Born April 4, 1911, in Upperco, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Celemma Schaffer Schultz.

She had been employed at Murray Hose and Clamp Corporation, Hampstead Clothing, and retired from Black & Decker in Hampstead in 1974. From 1960 to 1973, she was a full time caregiver for her mother.

For 25 years, she sponsored and corresponded with several children through the Child Fund of India. She was a life member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Upperco. She was a member of the Arcadia Women's Auxiliary and received a plaque for 50 years of service.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and handicrafts.

On the occasion of her centennial birthday, she received numerous citations and greetings, including those of U.S. senators, Maryland and Virginia state officials and President Obama.

Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family, having been predeceased by siblings Mildred L. Baker, Reba M. Cooper, Charles L., James A., Earl W., John P., Celemma S., Joseph R. and Marion P. "Jack" Schultz.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service, 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 15801 Trenton Road, Upperco, with the Rev. Melvina Stricklin officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
