Anna Lee Makovitch, 85, of Westminster passed away Friday October 30, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living. She was born September 12, 1930 in Cumberland, MD and was the daughter of the late John and Rosalie Storrer Park. She was the loving wife of Victor Joseph Makovitch whom she was married to for 59 years. Anna Lee attended Fort Hill High School where she graduated in 1948. From there she went to Western Maryland College obtaining a Bachelors in both mathematics and education before graduating in 1952. She taught math in Maryland Schools for 25 years until her retirement in 1989 from North Carroll Middle School. She was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church. Her passions were spending time with her family at their home in Ocean City, the theater, classical music, and traveling the world. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter and son-in-law Janet Lee and Matthew Baiada of Delanco, NJ, son and daughter-in-law Victor Michael Makovitch and Elizabeth Hughes of Annapolis, MD and daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth Ann and Todd Regar of Mechanicsburg, PA; brother Rev. John S. Park of Deep Creek Lake; grandchildren Megan Castro, Brian Baiada, Jennifer Baiada, Kimberly Baiada, Max and Emma Makovitch, Derek, Jack, and Chad Regar; great grandchild Owen Castro. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster with Rev. Malcolm Stranathan officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
