Anna Mae Hymiller, 79, of Gwynn Oak, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Randallstown.

Born Feb. 28, 1934, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Roland L. and Carrie May Riston Bowers. She was the wife of Charles Joseph Hymiller Sr., her husband of 50 years, who died Feb. 8, 2008.

She had worked as a receptionist for the Strathmore Tower Condominiums. She also had been a substitute teacher for many years.

She was a member of Young at Heart and the Red Hot Scarlet Jennies. She enjoyed time with her "granddogs" Cooley, Sasha, Speedy and Princess Leia.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Surviving are daughter Cheryl Johnson and husband Lawrence Gilbert Johnson; a son, Charles Joseph Hymiller Jr.; grandsons Charles Joseph Hymiller III and Paul Lawrence Johnson; nephews Joseph and Carl Hymiller, and David Benedict; and a niece, Virginia Benedict.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Internment will be in Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Meals on Wheels, 255 Clifton Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157; The Salvation Army, 8715 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133; or to The Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
