Anna Mae Trout, 85, formerly of Thurmont, died Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Brightview Westminster Ridge, after an extended illness.

Born April 28, 1927, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Charles Roscoe and Isabella M. McGlaughlin Kiser. She was the wife of Charles Josiah Trout, who died in 2003.

She was a 1945 graduate of Taneytown High School. She was a member of Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was the last surviving member of a church trio, singing with Helen Dougherty and Vivian Dougherty, accompanied by Daisy Pearl Reifsnider. They performed at church and community hymn sings. She also sang solos at many weddings.

She enjoyed cooking, singing, flower gardening, family gatherings, attending Jerry Falwell's "Living Christmas Tree" program in Lynchburg, Va., and taking drives in the autumn to see the fall colors of the trees.

Surviving are sons Robert L. Trout and wife Patsy, of Gettysburg, Pa., Dean M. Trout and wife Lois, and Dale M. Trout and wife Lisa, all of Keymar; grandchildren Douglas Trout, Lura Walls and husband Chaz, Peggy Costas and husband Yancey, Jeffrey Trout and wife Shawn, James Trout, Rebecca Starkey and husband Paul, Jennifer Martin and husband Corey, Megan Trout, and Travis Trout; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sydney Starkey.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keysville Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Road, Keymar, with the Rev. James Russell and Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Keysville.
