Anna Vivian Law, 94, of Gettysburg, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at the Lutheran Home in Gettysburg.
Born April 12, 1918, in Motters, she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Edith C. Valentine Keilholtz. She was the wife of the late Wilmer E. "Johnny" Law, her husband of 52 years.
She was a graduate of Emmitsburg High School, class of 1934, and the Hospital for the Women of Maryland Nursing, class of 1939. She worked as a registered nurse in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pa., Bremerton, Wash., Millington, Tenn., and San Diego, Calif., before retiring from nursing in 1983 while employed at Gettysburg Hospital.
She continued serving the hospital and community after retirement with volunteer work. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Home in Gettysburg. She was a lifelong member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, attended Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg, and was a member of their WELCA group. She was a member of the Adams County Registered Nurses Association and had been active at the Emmitsburg Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are sister Hazel Stonesifer and husband Charles, of Keysville; brother Vernon Keilholtz and wife Bea, of Emmitsburg; a sister-in-law, Frances Baker Keilholtz, of Emmitsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Knipple and Novella Dinterman; and brothers Merle, Raymond and Ralph Keilholtz.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, 10043 Longs Mill Road, Rocky Ridge, with the Rev. James Russell, pastor of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, and the Rev. Jon R. Greenstone, pastor of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg, officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, 10043 Longs Mill Road, Rocky Ridge, MD, 21778; to Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 W. North St., Emmitsburg, MD, 21727; or to the charity of one's choice.

I will never forget all the fun times I enjoyed with Anna while growing up. I enjoyed making pies with Anna and the Dinterman family for Christmas.

Anna was my mentor as a young nurse at Annie M. Warner Hospital, Gettysburg, PA.
She was so kind and helpful and we were both friends and members of the Adams County RN Association.
