Arlene May Hare, age 74 of Hanover, PA., passed peacefully Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, PA. Born Nov. 1, 1941 in Silver Run, MD., she was the daughter of the late Walter Calvin and Lydia Arlean Erb Stonesifer. She was the wife of Ronald Monroe Hare. Years ago, she worked for Random House. She had also worked the door at Sportsman Hall Skating Rink. She was a member of the Hampstead and Lineboro Vol. Fire Departments where she was in the ladies auxillary and enjoyed genealogy. Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Richard V. Yingling, Jr. and companion Christine Green of Westminster, MD. and Leona Carole Menchey of Hanover, PA., stepchildren, Wanda Cox of Westminster, MD. and Martha Cole and husband Philip of Manchester, MD., siblings, Marie Gribble and husband Charles of Virginia, Walter Stonesifer, Jr. and wife Pat of Hanover, PA., Phyllis Stonesifer and husband Fred Funkhouser of McSherrystown, PA. and Judy Staub and husband Frank of Hanover, PA., grandchildren, Justin Douglas Menchey, James Ronald Green, II, Zachary Joseph Green, Tommy Boone and Destiny Cole. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by granddaughter, Bethany Shay Green. A memorial service followed by a fire department service, will be held on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 10:00 am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. with Deacon Charles E Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to the Hampstead Vol. Fire Dept. P.O. Box 231, Hampstead, MD 21074 or the Lineboro Vol. Fire Dept. 4224 E.
