Asbury Joe Francis, 70, of Westminster died at his home on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Born August 30, 1944 in Johnson City, Tennessee he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Ida Dovie Bowman Francis. He was the former husband of Roselle Francis of Westminster. He served in the National Guard in the 29th Divison. He was a graduate of Westminster High School class of 1962, and received a degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University; as well as a degree in accounting from Carroll Community College. He worked as an Electrical Contractor Estimator. He was retired from Random House and was also a farmer. Surviving him in addition to his former wife are children Angel Francis and AJ Francis; brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Helen Francis, William and Darlene Francis, all of Westminster; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members. He was predeceased by brothers Thurman Francis, Nelson Francis, Paul Francis, Thomas Francis Jr.; and sisters Dollie Leppo and Mollie Mooney. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Pat Dols officiating. Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at
