Audrey Louise Johnson, 76, of Finksburg, died Tuesday February 24, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born April 16, 1938 in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Norville E. and Edith Louise Shipley Davidson. She was the wife of the late Wesley A. Johnson, who died in 1995. She was a graduate of Hampstead High School. She was formerly employed by Carroll Springs before retiring in 2003. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she taught Junior Church and Sunday school and played accordion for the Cherub Choir. She was a member of the Maryland Steam Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughters, Jan Graf and her husband Jeff of Hampstead, Jill Ayres and her fiance William Mielke, Jr. of Westminster; sons, James Johnson of Manchester, Pa., Jeffrey Johnson of Rock Hall and Jerry Johnson and his wife Michelle of Manchester; granddaughters, Heather Schaefer, Jennifer Ayres, Jannae Cross and Abigail Johnson; grandsons, Dan Graf, John Ayres, Jr., Jack Johnson and Bryan Johnson; great-granddaughters, Haydn Schaefer, Leah Schaefer, Cheyenne Graf, Lilian Ayres and Brooklyn Ayres; great-grandsons, Cade Schaefer, Cole Graf and Tyler Ayres; brother, Kenneth Davidson of Manchester; and sister, Janet Wheeler of Homosassa, FL. The family will receive friends Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Road, Hampstead with her pastor, the Rev. Amy Sarah Lewis-Rill officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
