Barbara Ellen Wantz, 73, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at home.

Born Dec. 25, 1938, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John Beck and Dorothy Meekins Beck. She was the wife of the late George W. Hubbard Sr. and Roy Wantz.

Before retiring, she worked as a housekeeper at Transitions Healthcare in Sykesville. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Surviving are children George W. Hubbard Jr., of Finksburg, Edward Hubbard, of Pikesville, Charles Hubbard, of Illinois, Audrey Peterson, of Westminster, and Carolyn Humple, of Finksburg; sisters Charlotte Ritter, of Pikesville, and Agnes Marsh, of the Eastern Shore; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons Wilbur and James Hubbard.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services and interment are private.
