Barbara Jane Stewart, 60, of Taneytown, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at home.

Born July 28, 1952, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Marie Gosinski Wallace, of Sykesville, and the late John Samborski.

She was a homemaker and day care provider. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are daughters Jackie Pickett and husband, Joe, Angi Sell and husband Duane "Squirrel" Sell, and Jamie Stewart, all of Taneytown, and Jessica Hopson and husband Andre Diaz, of Reisterstown; sisters Carolyn Malstrom, of Sykesville, and Diana Wallace-Vaughn and husband Wayne Vaughn, of Finksburg; brother David Wallace and wife Barbara, of Finksburg; a step-son, Michael Hopson Jr., of Virginia; grandchildren Nick, Kat, Tristian, Luis, Michael and Noah; step-grandchildren Joey and Ashley; and three nieces and one nephew.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Steven Hopson; and an infant grandson, Logan Pickett.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of prayer service, 11 a.m. Monday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with the Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Taneytown.
