Barbara Jean Mobley, age 68, formerly of New Windsor, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at her home in Lakeland, FL, following an extended illness. Born November 16, 1947 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Ivan W. and Mary E. Hahn Myers. She was the wife of George W. "Bill" Mobley. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 10. Mrs. Mobley was 1965 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. She was a member of Kathleen Baptist Church and Kathleen Historical Society, both in Kathleen, FL. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughter, Melanie R. Glover and spouse, Stacy of Nokomis, FL; son, David S. Mobley of Lakeland; eight grandchildren; sister, Marianna Masser and husband Chester and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Myers, all of New Windsor; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mabel E. Mort and brothers, Luther A. and Richard I. Myers. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor on Friday, Feb. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. Rev. Dan Ceary, pastor of Linwood Brethren Church, will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3070 Lakeland Hill Blvd., Lakeland, FL 33805.
