Barbara Rose Fannin Boone, 63, of Waynesboro, Pa., formerly of Taneytown, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.

Born Dec. 19, 1950, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Calageras Fannin.

She was co-owner of the former BRB Concessions in Taneytown. She was previously employed for more than 20 years as an administrative assistant at Worthington Pump Company in Taneytown, now known as Flowserve. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.

Surviving are a daughter, Angela Battaglini; a son, Tyler Boone, of New England; a sister, Kathleen Fannin-Balmer, of Waynesboro, Pa.; brother Paul Fannin and wife Julie, of Emmitsburg; a son-in-law, Frank Battaglini Jr., of Taneytown; a grandson, Frankie Battaglini III; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Joshua Boone; and brothers Michael and David Fannin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Smith officiating.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, with Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21787, to help defray funeral expenses.
