Barry Douglas May, 68, of Manchester, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Dove House. Born February 15, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of the late William Russell May, Jr. and Margaret F. Douglas May. Barry worked for Mantech, a government subcontractor for 27 years and traveled all over the world. He then worked for AVID. He was in a band "The Dimensions" in high school (1963) where he played the bass and saxophone and continued to play music until the 2000's. Barry wanted all of his friends and neighbors in Manchester, to know how much that he appreciated all of their help and support with his cats and things around the house as he continued to decline. He is survived by his sister Karen Hubsch and husband Lynn David and their children McKenna and Ethan; his brother Randy May and wife Liz and their children Chris, Jon and his family and Brian and his family. He will be interred at the Columbarium in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Alley Cat Allies, 7920 Norfolk Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814.
