Benjamin William Myers Jr., 82, of Union Bridge, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Brinton Woods Health Care Center in Sykesville, following a lengthy illness.

Born May 27, 1931, in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Benjamin W. Myers Sr. and Vallie Heiner Myers.

He enjoyed participating in the Senior Inclusion Program in Westminster for many years. He enjoyed time with the program coordinator Charlene Fischer and all others who worked with him.

Surviving are brothers and sister-in-law John T. Myers and wife Cindy, of Union Bridge, who were also his caregivers, and Harold E. Myers, of Libertytown; sisters-in-law Edith, Mary and Dolly Myers, all of Libertytown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers Roland, Lyman and James F. Myers.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service, 3 p.m. Tuesday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with Darlene Gobrecht, Lay Leader of Reisterstown Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Senior Inclusion Program, attn: Charlene Fischer, 125 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
