Betty Leola O Cole, 82, of Hampstead, died Thursday November 6, 2014 at her home. Born August 31, 1932 in Boring, she was the daughter of the late Lester Kemp and Ethel Leola Marshall Osborn. She was the wife of Donald Edwin Cole, her husband of 62 years. She was a 1949 graduate of Franklin High School in Reisterstown and attended Towson State Teachers College. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was organist, pianist and choir director for both Grace and Mt. Zion United Methodist Churches. She was a past president and member of the Baltimore County Homemakers Council and a past member of the Baltimore County Farm Service Agency Committee. She worked with the Maryland Dairy Princess and Farm Queen contests and was a 4-H leader and All-Star. She also served as an election judge and substitute teacher. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son, Dale Eugene Cole of Palm Harbor, Fla; daughters, Donna Lyn Young of Boring and Dawn Lee Armacost of Westminster; sister, Phyllis Ann Osborn of Reisterstown; and grandchildren, Amy Leola and Joanne Burnette Cole, Tiffany Nicole and Stephanie Noel Young, and Zachary Scott and Kyle Lee Armacost. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, 4618 Black Rock Road, Upperco with the Rev. Dr. Melissa Rudolph and the Rev. John Rudolph officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent for music ministry to Grace United Methodist Church, 4618 Black Rock Road, Upperco, MD 21155 or Mt.
