Betty Lee Klatzkin, 85, of Columbia, formerly of Eldersburg, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Staley Robinson, and wife to the late Morton Klatzkin.

She graduated from Western High School and worked at Waverly Press along with many of her extended family members. She lived in Eldersburg for the majority of her adult life.

She enjoyed giving back to her community. She volunteered at Red Cross blood drives in Carroll County, participated in prayer groups and helped out neighbors and the Sisters of Bon Secours.

She enjoyed her faith. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, where she was a founding member and a Sunday School teacher. She was a regular greeter to those who walked through the church's doors.

She also enjoyed listening, writing, praying, planting flowers and trees and giving meals to those in need.

Surviving are children Mike Klatzkin and wife Terri, and Robert Klatzkin; stepchildren Mimi and husband JB Hiller; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. June 22 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 2205 Old Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 2205 Old Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
