Betty Mae Mann, 85, of Westminster, entered into eternal rest peacefully at her daughter's home on Thursday, December 3, 2015. Born June 6, 1930 at her home in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Russell A. and Ethel Knight Dell. She was the wife of the late Roy H. Mann, who died March 28, 2015, her husband of 68 years. She worked at Westminster Stock Yards and was secretary of Soil Conservation District for Carroll County where she retired after 25 years of service. She received awards for 20 years of outstanding service and for being the outstanding secretary for the State of Maryland-Carroll County Conservation District in 1983. Betty volunteered for Carroll Hospital Center, where she was a life member of the Carroll County Farm Museum. She was a member of Westminster Bible Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching all sports, especially Maryland and Connecticut Basketball. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sandra J. and Robert F. Miller of Westminster, sisters-in-law Shirley K. Dell, Irene Dell, Marlene Dull and Fay Kline, Virginia Mann, brother-in-law Joseph M. Mann and wife Nadine, all of Westminster. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins and Dottie Freeman, who was like a sister. She was the last surviving member of the Russell A. and Ethel Dell Family. She was predeceased by siblings Edna L. Blizzard, Cleveland J. Dell, Leroy (Lee) Dell of Westminster, Russell F. Dell of Hampstead and Otis I. Dell of Port Orange, FL. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Strine officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
