Betty R. Seipp, 88, of Hanover, Pa., died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford, Pa.

Born Feb. 6, 1925, in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Daniel LeRoy and Ruth Sybilla Ebaugh Seipp.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed being a volunteer receptionist. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, crocheting, reading and traveling. She was known to have a good sense of humor and to make friends easily.

Surviving are children David M. Belt and wife Yi, of Frederick, Joan D. Belt, of Hanover, and Larry D. Belt and partner Steve McLerran, of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Rodgers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Friday at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Interment will be in Wesley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hampstead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Human Needs Fund, 30 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, PA 17331.
