Betty J. Stonesifer, 84, of Westminster, died Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Glade Valley Nursing Home in Walkersville. Born July 26, 1933 in Union Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Wetzel and Pearl Crawmer. She was the wife of 59 years to the late Roy C. Stonesifer, Sr. who died December 26, 2014. Before retiring she worked at Westminster Knit and loved to cook for family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards and spending time with her family. She was a former member of the Moose Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by children, Linda Stonesifer Dorsey of Lake Anna, VA; Debby Stonesifer Kloss and husband Randy of Westminster; Sharon Stonesifer Norman and husband George of Westminster; Roy C. "Buddy" Stonesifer, Jr. and wife Peggy of Manchester; Terry A. Stonesifer and wife Judy Lynn of Westminster; and Lisa Stonesifer Myers and husband Bill of Boston, MA., 2 sisters Jeanette Wetzel and Cathleen Calloway and 1 brother Marvin Wetzel; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Besides her husband she was predeceased by grandsons Jonathan E. Haines, Eric Lee Cote and Jeffrey Cote and a great-granddaughter, Tally A. Cote and also predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Albert K. Lane, III officiating. Interment will follow in Linganore Cemetery in Unionville. Memorial contributions may be made to the , 217 E. Redwood St., 11th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21202.
