Beverly "Bev" Lynn Krebs Hirt, 61, of Bel Air, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born on July 12, 1953 in Baltimore, she was the loving daughter of Mary Rae Krebs of Westminster and the late Robert J. Krebs. She was the beloved wife of the late David Michael Hirt, who predeceased her on January 2, 2015. Beverly was a graduate of Towson High School, class of 1971. She had earned her Undergraduate Degree from Towson State College and her Masters Degree at Johns Hopkins. Beverly was a teacher at The School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore. She was a dog person, enjoying dog shows and agility contests. Beverly also was an avid reader, loved the beach, was an Orioles and Ravens fan, and enjoyed making pottery. Surviving in addition to her mother are her dogs Downy, Sandy, and Harry; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Christine Krebs; brother-in-law Richard Dewey; nieces and nephews Caitlin Krebs, Jeanne Donohue, and Michael, Patricia, and Ryan Dewey; great nieces and nephews Helen, Joseph, and John Hudson, and Natalia, Bridget, and William Donohue; and cousin Nancy Hines and many others. She was predeceased by sister-in-law Barbara Dewey. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Schafer officiating. After a luncheon, graveside interment will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Project Purple for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 141 S. Main St., Beacon Falls, CT 06403.
