Billie Jean White, 84, of Westminster passed suddenly on August, 17, 2016 at her residence. Billie was born May 16, 1932 in Clintwood, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Dortha (nee Mullins) Baker. She was the beloved wife of William Marshall White. Billie appreciated beauty and always insisted on looking her best wherever she went. Billie was an addiction counselor and was proud of her counseling business in Bethesda called the "Healing Place." She helped many people with their addiction problems. In retirement she volunteered in Carroll County including her work at the front desk at the Carroll Hospital Center. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Marsha Butschky; her son Doug White; grandchildren Andrea and Max Butschky; her sister Vivian Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Joseph Baker, Josephine Fleming, and Naomi Wynn. A funeral service will take place at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E Main St., Westminster, MD 21157, on August 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. Pastor Shari McCourt will be officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westminster United Methodist Church.
