Blake Justin Mullinix, 25, of Mount Airy, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, at Montgomery County General Hospital.

He was the son of Brenda K. Lowery Mullinix and the late Steven Wilson Mullinix.

He was a 2006 graduate of Glenelg High School and a  graduate of the National Personal Trainer Institute in Florida.

He enjoyed playing football, listening to music, shooting pool, fishing and hanging out with friends.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are brothers and sister-in-law Steven Bradley and Kara Mullinix, and Dylan R. Moore, all of Mount Airy; a sister, Kelsey M. Moore, of Mount Airy; nephews Mack, Cole, and Wesley Mullinix, all of Mount Airy; a grandmother, Wanda Lowery; and numerous friends and family.

He was predeceased by grandparents William Lowery, and Robert A. and Sara J. Mullinix.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service, 7 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.
