Bonnie Jo Boyle, 64, of Finksburg, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Sept. 10, 1948, in Connellsville, Pa., she was the daughter of Marguerite Porter Newman, of Reisterstown, and the late David Bryson Porter. She was the wife of Michael Bruce Boyle.

She had been a math teacher with Carroll County Public Schools for many years, having taught at West Middle School, Westminster High School and Liberty High School. She retired in 2002.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are daughters Melissa Elizabeth Boyle, of Point Lookout, and Meredith Boyle Metzger and husband Nicholas, of New Market; brother Timothy Bryson Porter and wife Denise, of Westminster; sisters Beverly Ann Pittinger and  husband Charles, of Finksburg, Brenda Rae Porter and husband George Bopst, of Westminster, Bobbie Jean Cashman and husband Mark, of Littlestown, Pa., and Billie Jaye Porter and husband John "Pete" Grove, of Reisterstown; a grandson, Luke Robert Metzger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
