Bonnie Eloise Sutton, 89, of Westminster, MD died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Carroll Lutheran Village. She was married for 68 years to the late Arthur W. Sutton, who died December 10, 2014. Born on November 13, 1925 in Dallas, TX, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Clyde and Pauline Cooper who were Methodist missionaries in Brazil. She spoke fluent Portuguese, having completed primary and secondary school in Brazil. She later attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She was a language teacher at the International Correspondence Schools in Scranton, PA and was later employed by the Social Security Administration where she served as a Congressional Correspondent. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing pinochle and bridge as well as music, ceramics and crossword puzzles. She developed her own crossword dictionary. She is survived by daughter Sandra Lee Hudspeth and husband Forrest, two grandchildren, Aileen Hudspeth and Russell Hudspeth and wife Sheri of Woodbine, and two great grandchildren, Kiersten Hudspeth and Joel Hudspeth of Woodbine. She is also survived by two sisters, Julia Fullerton of Land O'Lakes, FL and Peggy Leasure of Arlington, TX. She was predeceased by sister Clydine Louise Morgan. Her body will be cremated and a private remembrance held by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Assistance Fund.
