Boris Kebetz, 59, of Frederick, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at home.

Born Sept. 27, 1954, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Viacheslav and Nastasha Browkowich Kebetz.

He served in the Air Force for eight years followed by a nearly 40-year career in the defense industry.

He coached MAYAA baseball and LUYAA basketball. He enjoyed gardening, rowing, tradition, Russian history, chess, memories of visiting Cape May and the Christmas season.

Surviving are children Zachariah Daniel Kebetz and Alexandra Leigh Kebetz, of New Market; a brother, Igor Kebetz, of Levittown, Pa.; and the mother of his children, Lori Kebetz, of New Market.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson, N.J. Interment will follow in the St. Vladimir's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, 433 Liberty St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
