Brenda LaRue Millberry, 65, of Westminster, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Jan. 3, 1949, in Westminster, she was the daughter of Eleanor E. Moody, of Atlanta, Georgia, and the late William Earl Magruder. She was the wife of William L. Millberry, who she married Sept. 17, 1976.

She was a service processor for Random House, retiring in 2001. Prior to that, she worked for Black & Decker, Western Maryland College, and Woolworths.

She was a member of Union Street United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was a well-known singer in the community and enjoyed listening to Gospel music. She enjoyed being on the computer and shopping online.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are a daughter, Danielle D. Millberry, of Randallstown; a godson, Joseph "JB" Brooks Jr., of Taneytown; siblings and spouses Monroe K. and Darlene Morrison, of Woodlawn, William W. and Sharon Morrison, of Atlanta, William J. and Rebecca Moody, of New Windsor, Richard A. Moody, of Westminster, Shari and Richard Morris, of Atlanta, Paulette and Hugh Dunston, of Pikesville, Aaron and Sharon Magruder, of Westminster, and Myra and Don Whatley, of Hanover, Pennsylvania; stepchildren Kim Gibson, of Hagerstown, Todd Johnson, of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Tonjia Johnson, of Baltimore; sisters- and brothers-in-law Donald Millberry, Douglas Millberry, RuthAnn and husband Paul Smith, all of Westminster, George Millberry, of New Jersey, and Bryant Millberry, of West Virginia; an aunt, Ethel Smith, of Westminster; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by a stepfather, William Moody; a brother-in-law, David Millberry; and sisters-in-law Sylvia and Robin Millberry.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service, 5 p.m. Monday at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Howard Hinson officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the , 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
