Brian Keith Schjei, 50, of Hanover, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at home.

Born June 8, 1963, in Sacramento, Calif., he was the son of Clayton P. and Hope M. Schjei. He was the husband of Tina Marie Schjei, his wife of seven years.

He was a 1982 graduate of Highlands High School in Sacramento. He was an electrician for Fern Rodkey of Taneytown for more than 16 years.

He enjoyed life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, camping, relaxing at the beach and collecting antique lighters.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Dustin Ryan Schjei and Ashlei H. Schjei, of Hanover; grandchildren Kaliegh, Aydrien and Sophia; and brothers Phillip D. Schjei and Gary B. Schjei, of Sacramento, Calif., and David L. Schjei, of New Oxford, Pa.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Antrim, 30 Trevanion Road, Taneytown. The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the of York/Adams, Attn: Memorial, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403; or to the Lutheran Home Care & Hospice Program, 260 West High St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
