Bridgette Nicole Schoonover, 29, of New Windsor, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Aug. 12, 1982, in Westminster, she was the daughter of Robert Francis Mellema Jr., of Westminster, and Pearl Denise Kline Tracey and husband James, of Union Bridge. She was the wife of Richard E. Schoonover.
She was a 1999 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School.
Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband are a brother, Bub Mellema, of Westminster; sisters Tiffany Tracey, of Taneytown, and Heather Mellema, of Randallstown; paternal grandmother Shirley Mellema, of Westminster; maternal grandmother, Barbara Kline, of Union Bridge; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by grandfathers Robert F. Mellema Sr. and Thomas L. Kline; and great-grandparents Nelson W. and Ruth M. Kaltrider.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where a service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157 to help with funeral expenses.
