Bruce Holmes Lockard, 58, of Finksburg passed away at home on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from natural causes. Born May 26, 1959 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Lynn Holmes Lockard. He was the husband of Susan "Sue" Lockard. Bruce graduated from Westminster High School, class of 1977. He retiring as Bureau Chief of Carroll County Roads Department after working for them for 40 years. He was a member of the Taneytown Lions club, Littlestown Eagles Aerie 2226 and the Auto Racing Club of Hagerstown. He was an Orioles and Ravens fan. Bruce sold Die Cast cars and racing apparel at Hagerstown Speedway. He was a fan of all types of racing and was a friend of Gary Stuhler Racing. Bruce enjoyed riding his Harley. Also surviving are step-children and their spouses, Cody & Brett Barrett of Littlestown, PA and Michael & Krista Bauerline of Silver Run; siblings Brad Lockard of Staunton, VA; nieces Chelsea Lockard & Shannon Seymour; and nephew Bradley Lockard;and grandchildren Logan, Lance, Lilli and Lane; as well as his dogs Harley and Gunner. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 3 at 11 am with Rev. Dave Meador, pastor of Carrollton Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Carrollton Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Human Society of Carroll County, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21157.
