Carl Condon Farver, 85, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Lorien in Mount Airy.

Born March 2, 1927, in Taylorsville, he was the son of the late Robert Thomas and Grace Jane Condon Farver. He was the husband of the late Helen Marie Devilbiss Farver.

He was a corporal in the Army and had been a truck driver for local companies and abroad. He enjoyed dancing, country music, the Amish Country, and going out to eat with his wife.

Surviving are son Robert Farver and wife Tammy, of Westminster; grandchildren R.J. and Mark Farver, of Mount Airy, and Matthew and Morgan Alder, of Westminster; a twin sister, Ruth Gosnell, of Taylorsville; and sisters-in-law Ethel Farver, of Mount Airy, and Marty Devilbiss, of Silver Run.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. O.F. "Bud" Kibbe officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
