Carl Franklin Frock Jr., 80, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born June 27, 1932, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Ella Mae Whitney and Carl Franklin Frock Sr. He was the husband of Cynthia B. Frock.

Before retiring he worked as a chief engineer for the Prosser Company.

He was a member of Church of the Ascension in Westminster, life member of the NRA, and a member of the Piedmont Pacers. He was an avid golfer and trap shooter.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Frank Vecera, of Westminster; a sister Nancy Lee Berg, of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Ronald D. Frock, of Glen Burnie; grandchildren Frank W. and Robert M. Vecera, Timothy M. Frock, Jennifer L. Frock-Sukhaira and Matthew B. Frock; and great-grandchildren Michael C. Frock, and Owen G. and Samuel M. Vecera.

He was predeceased by sons Carl Franklin Frock III and Christopher Bryan Frock.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m Friday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Ascension, Great Hall, 23 N. Court St., Westminster, with the Rev. Ronald S. Fisher officiating. Private cremation services will follow.
