Carl Joseph Wisner, 89, of Westminster passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born on June 19, 1927 in New Windsor and was the son of the late Joseph Howard and Evelyn Pauline (Fowler) Wisner. He was the beloved husband of Doris Hruska Wisner, whom he married in 1972. Carl graduated from Westminster Senior High School in 1944. He was employed at Union National Bank, where he worked as a banker until his retirement in 1992. Carl was active in the Masons and held various titles over the years including: Past Master of the Door to Virtue Lodge #46 A.F. & A.M., Past Grand Treasurer for the Grand Lodge of Maryland, member and Past Presiding Officer of Carroll York Rite Bodies, Past Worthy Patron Door to Virtue Order of the Eastern Star #94, Past Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter R&SM/Past Most Ill. Grand Master Grand Council/Past Grand Commander of Maryland, 33rd degree Scottish Rite, Past Intendent General of the Red Cross of Constantine, member of the Boumi Temple, and Senior Demolay, Past President of the Carroll Scottish Rite Club. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law Joel Hruska and Maria (Kasim) Wisner of Westminster and Lyle Fowler and Jessica (Woods) Wisner of Arnold; grandchildren Naomi, Roxana, and Luke Wisner. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Fowler Wisner. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel (please use chapel entrance), 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, with a Masonic service at 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating. Interment will be held in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
