Carl S. Carlson, 85, of Woodbine, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at his home.

Born January 29, 1927, in Berrett, he was the son of the late Oscar and Arlene Fleming Carlson. He was the husband of Betty Livesay Carlson, his wife of more than 60 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had been a general contractor for many years.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Debbie Carlson, of Woodbine; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Peter Perri, of New York; sister Kathleen Bowman, of Catonsville; sister-in-law Aleatha Carlson, of Westminster; grandchildren Melissa and Jason Shipley, Kimberly and Brandon Nee, and Lindsay Carlson; and a great granddaughter Kylie Nee.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Brandenburg United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sykesville.
