Carmen L. Crum, 70, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Sept. 8, 1943, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Edwin S. Jones and Laura O. Stocksdale Jones Gaver. She was the wife of Larry E. Crum.

She retired from Carroll Children's Center, where she worked as a medical secretary and receptionist.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She belonged to the Street Cars of Desire Car Club and was a former member of the Hanover Bicycle Club. She enjoyed birding and antiquing and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading books by Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses Kevin E. and Shelly Crum, of Westminster, and Karen "Kari" and Mike Thompson, of Manchester; brothers and spouses Sterling "Bobby" and Madeline Jones, of Finksburg, and Thomas J. and Darlene Jones, of Westminster; a sister, Sharon M. Garland, of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Edwin "Billy" Jones.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
