Carmeno Albertini, Jr., age 86, of Eldersburg, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Transitions Health Care, Sykesville. Born November 23, 1928, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Carmeno Albertini and Anna Cortelesa Albertini. He was the husband of Dorothy M. Hynson Albertini, his wife of over 60 years. Carmeno had been a carpenter for many years. He was a member of Carpenters Local #101. He had served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He had been a volunteer fireman with the English Consul Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community, Eldersburg. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons and daughters-in-law, Carmeno, III and Sheila Albertini of Abingdon and David and Dawn Albertini of Taylorsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Larry Jacobs of Federal Hill, Marianne and Rick Taylor of Sykesville and Lisa and Lee Madairy of Westminster and brother, Anthony Albertini, Naples, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by sisters, Nicoletta Turner and Rosalie Harris. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville, MD. A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldesrburg with Rev. David McGuigan as celebrant. Interment will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
