She was a very spiritual person and was an active member of various churches, including Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, the Church of the Brethren in Union Bridge, and Trinity United Church of Christ in Thurmont, where she enjoyed singing hymns and showing her dedication through various volunteer activities. Carole was also known for her creativity and her freelance artwork. Most of all, she loved spending time with her 7 grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her beloved husband, are sons Jeffrey Paul Brown and wife Cindy of Savannah, GA, Scott Christopher Brown and wife Addie of York, PA, and Marty William Brown and wife Kristy of Waynesboro, PA; daughter, Stephani Carole Stine of Waynesboro, PA; sisters, Chris DiGilarmo of Frederick, and Deborah Knott and husband Larry of Emmitsburg; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Tyler, Jacob, Karlee, Kaylie, and Sophia; and many nieces and nephews.
