Caroline R. "Cyn" Mather passed away on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at Heartfields in Easton, MD. She was 95. She was born on May 23, 1921 in Coatesville, PA, the daughter of the late Howard and Lydia Harry Rudisill. She was a 1942 graduate of the former Western Maryland College (now known as McDaniel College) earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree. That same year she married Frank Watkins Mather, Jr. of Westminster, who predeceased her. She served as a teacher and school librarian in Carroll County Public Schools for twenty years. She was very active in the Sunday School of the Ascension Episcopal Church. In 1978, she and her husband moved to Trappe, MD. In retirement Mrs. Mather volunteered at the Waterfowl Festival and at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She is survived by a son, Michael Mather of Philadelphia, PA, a daughter Sarah Bosler of Douglassville, PA, 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Her son, Frank Watkins Mather, III preceded her in death. A family memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Douglassville, PA at 1:00 p.m.
