Carrie Frances Wagner, 85, of Westminster, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at her home.

Born March 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joshua Mitchell Hale and Elsie E. Spicer Hale. She was the wife of the late James R. Wagner Sr.

She worked as a seamstress and enjoyed visiting with neighbors and working in her gardens.

Surviving are son James R. Wagner Jr. and wife Mandy Heverly, of Karthaus, Pa.; a daughter, Deborah Wagner, of Manchester; sisters Irene Krebs, of Hampstead, and Esther Hale and husband Donald, of Upperco; brothers Marvin Hale, of Swanton, Roland Hale, of Upperco, Leon Hale and wife Evelyn, of Littlestown, Pa., Everette Hale and wife Betty Lou, of Hampstead, and John Hale and wife Darlene, of Manchester; sisters-in-law Betty Hale and Mary Hale; grandchildren James R. Wagner III and wife Anita, of Manchester, Larry Wagner Jr., of Clinton, Miss., and Jason A. Wagner and wife Brandy, of Hanover, Pa.; nine great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Gail Mielke.

She was predeceased by a son, Larry C. Wagner Sr.; a sister, Jeanette Millender; brothers Leroy Hale, Charles Hale and Sidney Hale; and a great-granddaughter, Sydney Wagner.

Per her request, there will be no public visitation. Private family services will be held at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with private interment at Wesley Cemetery.
