Carroll Leslie "Bud" Gross, III, 36, of Linthicum entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Westminster. Bud was born on January 30, 1981 in Westminster and was the son of Carroll Leslie, Jr. and Kimberly Ann (Bauerlien) Gross of Westminster. He was the loving husband of Jodi Trapp Gross, his wife of 12 years. Bud grew up in Carroll County and attended Westminster High School. He became a truck driver at the age of 18 and was the owner of C.L. Gross Trucking. He was well known for his diesel mechanic skills and his passion for drag racing. He enjoyed big trucks, tractor pulls, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. Bud had many friends and would do anything to help anyone. Above all he loved spending time with his son Colby. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents is beloved son , Colby Logan Gross; paternal grandmother Alta "Tiny" Gross; sister and brother-in-law Heidi and John Muse; mother and father-in-law Sonny and Sheila Trapp; sister-in-law Janine Ridgely; sisters and brothers-in-law Julie and Matt Brown, and Jeff and Kristen Trapp; aunts and uncles Angel and Mike Stull, Larry and Sheila Gross, Donald and Tina Gross, Terry Woods, Linda Reed, Sharon Robertson; 8 nieces and 8 nephews; and several cousins. Bud was predeceased by his infant son, Carroll Gross IV; paternal grandfather Carroll Gross, Sr.; maternal grandfather and step grandmother Gene and Gladys Baurlien; maternal grandmother and step grandfather Anna and Elmer Rippeon; and aunt Sandy Markline. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 6, at 11:00 a.m., with family friend Donnie Grimes officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
