Caryl F. Schoolcraft, 95, of Eldersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born April 29, 1917, in Marion, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Daisy Orr Carey. She was the wife of 74 years to the late Floyd James "Bud" Schoolcraft, who died in 2008.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked in the cafeteria at Freedom Elementary School for many years, Eldersburg Elementary School and at Sykesville Middle School, where she was affectionately known as the "Sticky Bun Lady."

Surviving are daughter Sharon S. Skipper, of Sykesville; grandchildren Stacey Brown and husband David; Hunter Skipper and wife Julie; great-grandchildren Rachel, John and Joshua; and great-great-grandson James.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ken McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
