Catherine R. Chronister, 91, of Westminster, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Lorien in Taneytown. Born April 6, 1923 in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Shue and Margaret Boyer Shue. Her husband LeRoy S. Chronister, died Oct. 19, 2012. Before retiring, she worked at Westminster Shoe. She was a member of Barts Centenary Church and enjoyed camping. She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Edward L. Chronister of Hanover, Pa., Larry G. "Dink" Chronister of Westminster, Glenn R. and Helen Chronister of Westminster, daughters and sons-in-law Donna M. and Richard Miller of Westminster, Diane K. and Sam Pickett of Westminster, and a niece raised as a daughter, Teresa M. Rohne and husband Dennis of Merritt Island, FL, a sister Ruth Leppo of Silver Run. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Chronister, daughter-in-law Anna Chronister, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with her pastor, Emilia R. Burdick officiating. Interment will follow in Bart's Church Cemetery.
