Catherine Ellen "Cathy" Dusterhoff, 52, of Sykesville, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1961, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Louis Joseph Meyer, of Baltimore, and the late Margaret Ruth Wagner Meyer. She was the wife of Mark E. Dusterhoff, her husband of 25 years.

She was employed in the child care profession. She was a member of St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church where she and her husband taught confirmation class.

She enjoyed singing, cooking and calligraphy. She participated in Relay for Life and Light the Night, and her sisters organized "Team Cathy" last year.

Surviving, in addition to her father and husband, are sisters and brothers-in-law Christine and Albert Kirby, of Baltimore, and Carole and Michael Wandelear, of Baltimore; a brother-in-law, Richard L. Dusterhoff, of Kennesaw, Ga.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church, 700 Krider's Cemetery Road, Westminster, with the Rev. David Schafer officiating. Private interment will be at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
