Catherine Irene Wagner, 77, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at home.

Born Sept. 18, 1935, in Finksburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Virgie Wetzel Smith. She was the wife of William W. Wagner, who died Oct. 10, 1995.

She was a homemaker who lived in Finksburg before moving to Westminster. She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church and the Westminster Moose. She enjoyed accompanying her husband to his Lion's Club events.

She enjoyed collecting all manner of Holstein cows, dancing, country music, lunch with her friends, traveling, going to local carnivals and being with her family. She also enjoyed flowers and was known for her green thumb.

Surviving are daughters Coral Kipe and husband Gene, of Westminster, and Diana Blessing, of Finksburg; siblings June B. Welch, of Lothian, Charles H. Smith Jr., of Finksburg and Clarence V. Smith, of Hanover, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by brothers Lawrence E. and George F. Smith.

The family will receive family and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wm. Louis Piel, of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
